summary of applying program into public schools

For:
equal opportunity of language education to everyone
more friendly/comfortable
critical period
more chance to use English
more exposure to English

Against:
Korean language and culture-identity problem
low achievement of subject knowledge due to inefficiency of using English
Teacher issue(ability to use English fluently)
More serious private education
Changed goal from knowledge to English


My opinion: against
immersion program will cause another private education
in class students are to use only english
but students who have no good english skill will feel inferor to that
so they go to institute to get better english skill
it will occur another private education, and furthermore,
there are students who can't take private education because of financial barrier
so equal opportunity of language education to everyone might not come true.
