TETE and NES/NNES

TETE: teaching English through English



My opinion-against TETE

1. The abilities of students differ
2. Not all teachers are qualified to perform TETE class
3. If TETE is performed in science or history class, there are too many professional terms, so the class will be unefficient.

But I don't want to say that TETE is totally wrong:
What I want to maintain is using TETE properly.


NES vs NNES

NES
are far better at English speaking, especially practical English usage than NNES
NNES
can explain English to students better than NES
are good at grammar or R/C, so when teaching KSAT, NNES are efficient teachers
there are many qualified NNES teachers whose abilities are similar to those of NES
