Hello guys! As you know, my name is Park Soo-ho. I am 20 years old. Can you believe it? I can't believe this too! Well, anyway, I was born in 1991 in Seoul. I have been living in Seoul for the most of my life. I have never lived in foreign country, so I would like to do if I had an opportunity.
We are a family of 5; father, mother, a younger sister and me. I get along with my sister well. So my friends say that it is weird, because they usually argue with their siblings. But to me it's very natural.
Talking about my personality, my MBTI test result was INFJ. It means that I am 11% introverted, 12% intuitive, 25% feeling and 56% judging. But the result was too simple, so I 'googled' INFJ type. Then there was a Korean site which was talking about my type, and what it says mostly coincides with my character.
When it comes to my learning style, I like to learn language by just listening, noticing new things and using them. According to the result, I learn best when I was exposed to real language. It's true, and I love to.
How I have learned English? Well, I have lots of thing to say, but I'll say some of them. I did dictation for years to improve listening skill. It really works so I recommend this method to my acquaintances. When it comes to reading, I read tons of paragraph to enhance reading skill. I think we have to be used to English to read it fast and exactly.
I like to teach something to others, so I chose to be a teacher when I was in middle school. Especially I liked Korean and English in high school, so I chose Department of English Education in Chung-Ang University. My vision is being a great English teacher. I want to sow dream to students to make them as a brilliant people. I'll do my best to make my dreams come true!

Yesterday...
I did fast yesterday because this week is Easter week, so I was starving. I went to do teaching volunteer yesterday and taught Korean and English. Teaching them, I try to do my best. I was a high schooler last year, so I can understand them so much.
The biggest event of yesterday was about Sun-young, who is my friend in my department. Her friend went to the heaven, so she cried and cried. Her friend who passed away was Sun-young's best friend, and she have got along with her for 12 years, therefore she couldn't control her feeling. I went with her to her home, and she cried all the time with me. I can understand her feeling because of my experience that my friend had died due to heart failure when I was in 11th grade. I was so sad.
Was a gloomy day.

This week's topic
I'd love to participate in all 4 parts of the language areas, but especially I would like to work in listening and speaking area. I think I am better at listening and speaking rather than reading or writing, so I want to specialize them.
I think that English teachers should have good pronunciation. What I mean is not as good as native speakers, just pronouncing 'correctly'. I've heard of 'Konglish' pronunciation in the past. It was too bad to understand. Moreover students taught by him/her will learn bad pronunciation. Therefore I think English teachers have to pronounce well.

What type of learner am I?
I chose some learning types at the site Kaleidoscope, so I post my learning types here.
What I chose was this:
I like to learn language
by just listening, noticing new things and using them
And my type is:
You are an auditory and pragmatic type of learner who prefers to learn inductively, ie, you move from particulars to generalities. You learn best by getting lots of exposure to the real language whether in the classroom or on TV or while you are traveling.
I also chose:
I like to observe the patterns and structures in language.
Then the answer says:
You are a reflector who likes to notice and think about things for yourself before acting. You probably learn best by analysing the language, and you set yourself very high standards. This is good, but don’t worry too much about being completely perfect or you’ll never open your mouth. Relax a little and focus on communication.
Well, the result was quite interesting. They gave me some solutions to problems that I have, and described my learning style exactly. It is very helpful:)

Teaching Volunteer-first class!
I do teaching volunteer in my church. I teach ethic study to a 12th-grade boy, and will teach English to a 12th-grade girl. Today it was my first class, even though I started it from the first week of March, because I hadn't taught actually. I am supposed to teach Korean, English, and some social studies. But NO ONE asked me to teach him/her. In contrast, my friends who teaches math was busy to help them. I was little bit depressed because I'm poor at math:-( I envy them.
The first class was quite short, since I was late for class(even I am a teacher) due to 전학대회. I taught him ethic study for about an hour. Ethic study is tough to learn(I did so too when I was a high schooler), so he had a hard time to understand what I say.
Anyway it's very interesting to teach^^ I'm looking forward to teaching on every tuesdays:-)

A Comment about My MBTI Test Result...
I think that I have already taken the MBTI test when I was in high school, but I forgot the test result^^;;
My MBIT type is INFJ. That means, 11% of introverted, 12% of intuitive, 25% of feeling and 56% of judging.
The test result says that I am slightly introvert, and have slightly expressed intuitive personality, moderately expressed feeling personality and moderately expressed judging personality.
I was surprised to see the result because the personality that was described was like mine. But the result was too simple, so I 'googled' INFJ type. Then there was a Korean site which was talking about my type. It is http://careernote.co.kr/182.
I accessed it and read the posting. While reading, I chuckled several times since it was very interesting to see that the result totally coincides with my character.
Some of the result says that I have a great creativity and insights, and also have a firm faith and clear principles, and devote myself to the benefits of community. I wonder I have a great creativity*^^*;; But I agree with the comment that I dedicate myself to community:-)
It was very exciting to read the test result, even though it was quite boring to take the test:-( I would like to take another test someday!

What type of English teacher do I want to be?
In my high school, there was an English teacher who is very considerate. He is one of the most skillful teacher in the school, and is being respected by their students. The reason was not only for his great teaching skills but also his concerns about his students. He has a great common sense and also has skills to teach. He makes students always laugh, which makes them concentrate on the class. Moreover, he consults with every student of his classes. He knows most of the student's characteristics and advantages. That made him possible plan their career.
I was deeply impreesed by him, and decided to have him be my role-model.
So I'm trying to be more considerate towards my friends, and my students who are taught by me(I'm doing a teaching volunteer in my church). I am also studying English harder to be skillful and be an expert in my field. That will make my ideal dream come true earlier.
